Rosses Point Golf Course
Some of the best Link courses in Ireland are on our doorstep, Strand hill Golf Course, Enniscrone Golf Course and County Sligo Golf Course. County Sligo Golf Course is the home of the West of Ireland Open Championship played every Easter since 1923. To play on all three courses is a must for any golf enthusiast. We at Murphy’s Hotel provide bicycle hire, We also give you the routes to take which other tourist would be unfamiliar with in order to see the unexplored beauty of Ireland. The Cycle routes are some of the most beautiful you will see anywhere in the World. They have to be seen to be believed, completely untouched, Real Ireland.
Ox Mountains
We arrange some great trips for families i.e. Eagles flying – 10 minutes from hotel. This is a wild bird sanctuary, with flying birds of prey demonstrations twice daily. The thought of a wild bird of prey flying directly over your head is quite extraordinary. This is great for kids and their is an educational element to it.
Zippit - Forest Adventures
A tree canopy located in forest park. This is where you can fly along zip lines and swing through trees. Anyone from 7 years of age can do this. Excellent Family day out. Also Boda Borg – great team building exercise for all the family will make you think on your feet. Kids from 7 years upwards.
Equestrian
A family run equestrian centre that caters for small groups and private tuition for dressage and show jumping from basic to advanced riding skills. The Equestrian centre offer riders' correct and safe tuition on well trained schoolmaster horses/ponies to riders of all levels. Including hacking on the mountain, through farmland and country roads to training successful Dressage and Show Jumping competition riders on their own horses.
